The Pass Plus Scheme is a Driving Standards Agency supported scheme which aims to promote and improve road safety for newly qualified drivers (it must be taken within the first year of passing the driving test). As well as becoming a better and safer driver, some insurance companies offer attractive discounts on premiums to drivers who hold a Pass Plus certificate, and you may even save more than the cost of the course in the first year alone!
The course usually lasts six to seven hours, however you are purchasing a course and therefore the price includes how ever many hours it requires to attain the required standard - no further payment is required. The course consists of six parts :
Town driving
All weather driving
Rural road driving
Night driving
Dual carriageway driving
Motorway driving
The Pass Plus Scheme is not a test, but is more an evaluation by your instructor who, when satisfied that you are competent in each of the above types of driving, will issue your Pass Plus certificate. The Pass Plus website can be found at: www.passplus.org.uk/
The cost of taking the Pass Plus with Right Start Motoring is £140 or just £120 if you have learnt with us.
