It is a system where each lesson is carefully planned and follows a set programme with clearly defined objectives or ‘targets’ as we prefer to call them, where the instructors use professional training materials and modern training methods to ensure that your training is both effective and enjoyable.

Preparing for a driving lesson at home beforehand, using LD’s unique driving skills video programme and workbook, will significantly cut down the amount of time normally spent by your instructor at the beginning of each new lesson at the side of the road on a lesson brief. Normally a instructor will take up to 20 minutes or more explaining about the lesson objectives, the road procedures you need to learn and the driving techniques you need to understand. All this needs to be done before you get moving. With the LD System all this can in fact be covered by yourself at home, beforehand, by watching the LD driving skills video and by completing a simple quiz in the LD driving skills workbook. Now all the instructor has to do is check that you did your homework and away you go - a much more efficient approach.

The LD system was originally designed for intensive training but it can be of equal benefit for those taking weekly lessons. For intensive training to be effective it has to be carefully structured, meticulously planned and expertly delivered - hence the development of the LD system.
